- Within the Buddhist sect, you all know that Master Lingyun Zhiqin attained enlightenment after seeing peach blossoms. He also wrote a verse about his enlightenment. The verse reads: “For thirty years I have searched for the swordsman, the leaves have fallen and branches have sprouted again. Ever since I saw the peach blossoms, I have no doubts.” What exactly did Master Lingyun mean by “no doubts”? You can try to understand this!
- Within Buddhism, you all know that supernatural powers cannot overcome karma, and karma cannot overcome vows. In fact, for ordinary beings, karma controls their lives from generation to generation, yet they are unaware of it. Therefore, for countless lifetimes, they are constantly trapped in the cycle of birth and death, experiencing endless sorrow and suffering. But as long as you have a strong heart committed to the Tao, the impact of karma will be much less. When we come to this world, we are pure and simple, coming solely for the Dao and the Dharma.
Everything else is dispensable. It’s fine to have it, or even better not to have it! What can karma do to us? As the ancients said, “When you realize your karma, it is originally empty.” Isn’t that right? - You all know that “the ocean of suffering is boundless; turning back is the shore. “So how do we “turn back”? Actually, the method is very simple: stop mistakenly identifying the five aggregates of body and mind as ourselves, and stop being obsessed with the things of this world.
That’s it! Don’t forget, we all live in this world of five turbidities and evil. What is there to cling to in this worldly world? - You may not know this yet, but each person’s fortune, whether rich or poor, is determined by their spiritual energy. The higher the level of their spiritual energy, the better their destiny!
- When you can cultivate the great aspiration of selflessness, altruism, and altruism from within your heart, the spiritual energy level of your life will already be very high. This is, of course, a powerful tool for avoiding misfortune and changing your destiny.
In Taoism, continuously elevating your spiritual energy levels is essential. - Here, I’ll also teach you a simple health-preserving exercise to relieve fatigue and aid sleep. The key to this exercise is massaging the bases of your ten fingernails. Start by using your right thumb and index finger to massage the bases of your five left fingernails. Start with your little finger, then move on to your thumb. Massage each finger for ten to twenty seconds. Apply enough pressure to feel a slight soreness. Once you’ve finished massaging your left hand, switch hands and use your left thumb and index finger to massage the bases of your five right fingernails.
In our experience, doubling the time you massage the bases of your little fingernails will yield even greater results. If you feel a urge to yawn, or even yawn repeatedly, during the massage, that’s fine. This indicates that the parasympathetic nervous system in the body’s autonomic nervous system has been activated, relaxing the body and mind and relieving fatigue.
At night, it can help you fall asleep and even ensure a good night’s sleep! Our custom is to first clench our fists and place the backs of our palms on the “Shenshu” (Kidney Point), also known as the “Kidneys,” and massage them up and down for two to three minutes before massaging the sides of the nails. This can boost kidney qi, connect the heart and kidneys, and quickly relieve fatigue. These exercises are simple and can be practiced anytime, anywhere. They don’t take much time. If you find them useful or effective, don’t forget to share them with your friends and family. This can also be considered a form of Dharma giving, isn’t it?
